1. Eat My Trip

Eat My Trip is a popular Barcelona brunch restaurant on a cute pedestrian street in Eixample. 

It’s usually busy, so you might need to wait for a table, especially on weekends. 

The presentation here is totally over the top—I had the pancakes with fruit, and they basically tasted like a slice of cake! 

Some of the sweet dishes even come topped with chocolate bars or cotton candy, but you’ll also find savory choices like eggs benedict, avocado toast, and buddha bowls. 

They also offer bottomless mimosas or Aperol spritzes if you want something fun to drink.

2. Faire

Faire is just around the corner from Eat My Trip and has a fun retro feel from the moment you walk in. 

The menu is a QR code on the back of a cassette tape, and the space is filled with vintage details, including a retro scooter and old-school decor. 

Most of the menu is vegetarian or vegan, but the flavors are creative and seriously good. 

I had the pancakes topped with eggs and vegan bacon, and the combo completely surprised me. 

They also have a long list of specialty coffee drinks, fresh juices, and other house-made drinks.

3. Billy Brunch

Billy Brunch is a classic go-to for the best brunch in Barcelona with several locations around the city. 

The menu covers all the usual favorites like omelettes, pancakes, toast, and acai bowls. 

It’s a solid spot if you’re craving something familiar and filling, and they also serve drinks like mimosas, spicy Bloody Marys, Aperol spritzes, and sangria. 

It’s usually busy, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours, but the food and atmosphere make it worth it.

4. Lato – Born

Lato – Born sits on the edge of El Born, just a short walk from the Arc de Triomf. 

It’s one of the best Barcelona brunch places with a nice outdoor patio that’s great for people-watching or enjoying a slow morning. 

The menu has a South American twist, with options like ceviches, toasts, and eggs made with Latin-inspired ingredients. 

You’ll also find brunch staples like pancakes and eggs benedict, along with a full list of cocktails and fresh house drinks. 

It’s a unique mix of flavors in a laid-back spot.

5. Gringa

Gringa brings American diner vibes to the Barcelona brunch scene, serving up all the classics you’d expect. 

The menu includes favorites like chicken and waffles, breakfast burritos, and steak and eggs. 

I ordered the waffles, and they were just what I had been craving. They also serve drip coffee, which is pretty hard to find in the city. 

If you’re missing a classic American-style breakfast, this is the spot.

6. Brunch & Cake

Brunch & Cake Barcelona has a very cutesy and elegant style, with gold accents, pastel tones, and cream-colored decor that make it feel super Instagrammable. 

They have a few locations around the city, and while I originally thought it might be a tourist trap, the food is actually really good. 

The menu offers lots of sweet dishes like cinnamon roll pancakes, lemon pie pancakes, and chocolate pancakes, but they also serve egg dishes, sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. 

And true to the name, you’ll also find cupcakes, cookies, and other baked treats on display.

7. The Egg Lab

As the name suggests, they specialize in egg dishes, and the variety is really impressive. 

You can choose from different versions of eggs benedict, including Korean fried chicken, Alaskan Royal, and salmon truffle. 

They also have a full lineup of hot and cold drinks like iced lattes, matcha, and specialty coffee drinks. 

It’s a great choice if you’re in the mood for eggs done right.

8. Tropico

Tropico is a cute spot with a tropical Latin American vibe that shows up in both the decor and the menu. 

Alongside brunch favorites, you’ll find things like tacos, arepas, and ceviches that give the menu a fun twist. 

I ordered the pancakes and they were fluffy and full of flavor, but the real surprise was the passionfruit cronut—it was incredible! 

They also have a small selection of house-made pastries that are worth trying. It’s a popular spot, so definitely make a reservation in advance if you can.

9. Exotica

Exotica is a jungle-themed brunch restaurant that makes a big first impression with its playful decor. 

Inside, you’ll see a giant giraffe, monkeys, tropical birds, and leafy green plants covering the walls. 

The food is just as colorful as the space, with over-the-top presentation on everything from pancakes and avocado toast to eggs Florentine and acai bowls. 

It’s a fun place to bring kids or anyone who loves a themed experience. The vibe is bold, bright, and definitely Instagrammable.

10. Zenith Brunch Barcelona

Zenith Brunch is part of a small chain found in other Spanish cities, but the Barcelona location is just as solid. 

The space has a modern look and serves all the brunch classics like pancakes, eggs, bagels, and toasts.

The drink menu is just as creative, with options like dirty chai lattes, cold brew, and cocktails including elderflower sangria, Bloody Marys, and spritzes. 

The food is always full of flavor and a little different from your typical brunch. It’s a great place to try something new.

13. Novela

Novela is a cute corner café in Eixample with indoor and outdoor seating, plus an upstairs area if you want a quieter spot. 

It’s open all day and has a super friendly staff that adds to the welcoming vibe. 

The menu has a good mix of options like salads, bowls, soups, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, toast, and eggs benedict. 

They also have a full drink menu, including mimosas and espresso martinis. 

Inside, there’s even a throwback Ms. Pac-Man arcade game if you want to give it a try!

The menu is filled with playful references, with dishes like the “Aidan Eggs” and “Mr. Big Chicken Benedict.” 

One of the burgers even comes topped with Berger’s infamous yellow post-it note. 

Naturally, you’ll also find a Cosmopolitan on the drink menu.  It’s a fun and creative place to go if you’re a fan of the show!
