Best Rooftops in Barcelona

Here are my top picks for the best Barcelona rooftop bars:

Tip: While most of these rooftops are located at hotels, they are not reserved exclusively for hotel guests. If security stops you, just let them know you’re going to the rooftop and then take the elevator to the top floor.

1. Terrassa de Vivi

📍 Location: Google Maps

Terrassa de Vivi at the Kimpton Vividora Hotel is my absolute favorite rooftop in Barcelona and one I always bring visitors to.

Located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, it has great views over the city and the nearby Barcelona Cathedral.

I love coming here for a cocktail, cava, or glass of wine, and the prices are pretty reasonable for a rooftop.

The atmosphere is laid-back with great service, chic decor, and even a rooftop pool that gives it a stylish but not overly pretentious feel.

Reservations are recommended but it’s also usually pretty easy to get a table if you come in the late afternoon or early evening.

2. Barcelona Edition

📍 Location: Google Maps

The Roof at the Barcelona Edition Hotel in El Born is one of my top picks for panoramic views in Barcelona, with 360-degree views over the city, the sea, and the surrounding mountains.

You can even spot famous Barcelona buildings like Torre Glòries from up here, which makes the views especially impressive.

Since it’s a luxury hotel, the drinks and food are definitely pricier, but the experience feels worth it.

The menu is Asian inspired, and I tried the Korean fried chicken which was really good, but the portions were a bit small.

The stylish atmosphere makes it a great spot for an afternoon drink or a night out.

3. La Isabela at Hotel 1898

📍 Location: Google Maps

La Isabela at Hotel 1898 is a beautiful rooftop in the heart of Barcelona that’s perfect for a relaxed evening.

Located just off La Rambla, it offers great views over the city while still feeling like a peaceful escape.

The atmosphere feels exclusive without being overwhelming, making it a nice break from the busy streets below.

The food is just okay, so I’d recommend sticking to drinks, but the rooftop pool and chic decor really stand out.

It’s also a great spot to catch the sunset with a cocktail or glass of cava.

4. Eleven BCN

📍 Location: Google Maps

Eleven BCN is one of my favorite rooftops in Barcelona, especially for its spectacular views.

Eleven BCN is one of my favorite rooftops in Barcelona thanks to its amazing panoramic views from the 11th floor of the NH Hotel.

From up here, you can see Mount Tibidabo along with famous landmarks like La Sagrada Família.

The atmosphere is chic but relaxed, making it a great place to unwind with a drink.

The cocktails are well made, though a bit on the pricier side.

With friendly service and a DJ most evenings, it’s a fun spot to visit after dark to enjoy the city lights.

5. 83.3 Terrace Bar

📍 Location: Google Maps

Located at Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia, 83.3 Terrace Bar has a great central location overlooking Passeig de Gracia, one of Barcelona’s most prestigious streets.

What’s unique about this roof terrace is that is that it has a glass roof, which makes it a great choice for those colder or rainy days when you still want to enjoy rooftop views. But the side windows are still open so you’re not completely enclosed.

The drink menu is pretty standard with a selection of cocktails, wine, beer, and cava. I tried their Hugo Spritz and it was really refreshing!

They also serve popcorn to munch on and have a food menu if you’re feeling hungry.

The atmosphere is stylish and trendy with live music in the evenings, which makes it a great spot for a drink before dinner.

6. Terrassa Sercotel Rossellón

📍 Location: Google Maps

Located just one block away from La Sagrada Familia, Terrassa Sercotel Rossellón is the best rooftop in Barcelona to visit if you’re looking for views of Gaudí’s iconic church.

This place has pretty much become TikTok famous for its on-site food truck and incredible views, which makes it a popular spot among tourists. But don’t let that deter you–the views of Sagrada Familia are worth it!

However, since it’s become so popular, there’s a 7€ entry fee and you’ll need to make a reservation in advance. Without a reservation, you’re not getting in!

The food menu is pretty basic with nachos and other snacks, so I would just stick to the drinks here. Consumption is required even with the entry fee.

You’ll have the perfect backdrop for those Instagram-worthy photos with the Sagrada Familia in the background.

7. Alaire Terrace Bar

📍 Location: Google Maps

Located on Passeig de Gracia on the 8th floor of Hotel Condes, Alaire Terrace Bar offers incredible rooftop views of the nearby Casa Milà (La Pedrera), one of Gaudí’s most famous buildings.

This rooftop restaurant and bar has a beautiful setting, with trendy furniture and lots of shade.

The menu has a variety of cocktails and wine, as well as some tasty tapas options and famous Barcelona foods to try like cheese plates or croquettes. They also have a mix of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine like gyozas, pad thai, and prosciutto pizza.

I would recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during peak tourist season, as this place tends to get crowded.

8. Salts

The view of the Olympic swimming pool and city from Salts rooftop bar in Barcelona

📍 Location: Google Maps

While Salts isn’t your typical rooftop bar, I still wanted to include it because it’s kind of a hidden gem in Barcelona and has absolutely amazing views of the city.

Overlooking the Olympic swimming pools at Montjuïc, Salts is more of a pool bar that offers incredible views of the city and surrounding area.

It’s a casual spot and they serve classic cocktails and snacks, like sandwiches, pizza, and chicken fingers. I also had a sangria there and it was really refreshing!

It’s a great spot to visit in the afternoon, or in the evening to watch the sunset over Barcelona.

If you’re visiting during the summer months, you can also consider visiting the pool for a swim as well!

9. Lamaro Hotel

📍 Location: Google Maps

The rooftop at Lamaro Hotel (previously Hotel Colon) is another great spot for incredible views of Barcelona Cathedral, one of the most beautiful churches in Barcelona with stunning Gothic architecture.

What’s great about this rooftop is the combination of a laid-back atmosphere and incredible scenery. It’s not super loud or vibey but the views of the cathedral are really beautiful!

This open-air terrace serves a range of cocktails and wines, and while it’s a bit pricier, the experience makes up for it.

Hotel Lamaro’s rooftop is a popular spot (especially during summer evenings) so I’d recommend getting there early or you might have to wait in line a bit before they let you up. They typically charge a small entrance fee, which includes a drink.

And if you can stay until dark, the lights around the cathedral are really magical and make for some great photo ops!

10. Azimuth Rooftop Bar

📍 Location: Google Maps

Azimuth Rooftop Bar at the Almanac Hotel is a stylish rooftop with great views over the Barcelona skyline.

The vibe is relaxed but swanky, with bold red decor and an open air setup that’s perfect for sunset drinks.

The views are especially nice in the evening when there’s often a DJ or live music playing.

Seating is comfortable and the atmosphere feels laid back without being boring. It’s also usually less crowded than many other rooftops in Barcelona, which is a big plus.

11. Rooftop Ohla Barcelona

The rooftop infinity pool at Ohla Barcelona Hotel

📍 Location: Google Maps

The Rooftop at the Ohla Barcelona is one of the best rooftop bars in the city for a more sophisticated evening with great views.

Located on the 8th floor of the Ohla Barcelona Hotel, it overlooks the Gothic Quarter and nearby modernist buildings.

The space has an elegant but relaxed vibe with two levels where you can enjoy a well crafted cocktail.

Drinks are on the pricier side (around 16€ for a cocktail), but the quality, infinity pool, and modern design make it feel worth it.

Sunset is especially beautiful up here, and the unique artwork and decor with faces on the wall give the space a very cool vibe.

12. Serras Barcelona

Rooftop terrace at Serras Barcelona with striped lounge chairs, a small plunge pool, and panoramic views of the marina and city skyline

📍 Location: Google Maps

The rooftop at Serras Barcelona is a great little Barcelona rooftop in the Gothic Quarter overlooking Port Vell and the sailboats and yachts docked there.

It’s not huge but has a cozy, intimate vibe, which pairs perfectly with their top-notch cocktails and delicious food.

There’s also a small infinity pool, but it’s reserved for guests only.

The best time to visit is before sunset when the light over the port is absolutely stunning.
